Simpson Joins Unified Bank

Unified Bank announces the addition of Derek Simpson as their newest Retail Banking Executive & Area Sales Manager. A graduate of Ohio University, Simpson will work from Unified’s St. Clairsville offices, located on Stewart Drive and Plaza West Drive. Simpson comes to Unified with fourteen years of experience in the banking industry. His new position will allow him to facilitate mortgage loans, auto, and personal loans, and to help grow Unified’s business portfolio.

A Martins Ferry native, Simpson now lives with his family in Shadyside, Ohio where he and his children are active in youth sports. Though his previous banking experience has been primarily in the Wheeling Area, Simpson is eager to serve the residents of East Ohio while still maintaining a presence in the Wheeling Area. “Helping people find the best financial solution for their home purchase has always been my passion,” said Simpson. “Joining the Unified Team will allow me to continue doing what I love best,” Simpson added.

Unified maintains 19 banking centers in Eastern Ohio and West Virginia. With a strong sense of community, Unified’s home office has operated continuously out of Martins Ferry, Ohio, since 1902.
