Unified is Carrying on a Tradition of Caring

The Christmas Season is almost upon us and now is the time for all good people to come together for the betterment of all. Since 1975 T4C (Tuscarawas County Council for Church and Community) has hosted Share a Christmas where community members and businesses come together to help those in need during the Holiday Season. It is in this spirit that Unified Bank employees and leadership join in the celebration of community by contributing money and service in the effort to provide a special Christmas for those who could use a little help.

Each year Unified Banking Centers in the Tuscarawas County community come together to collect toys and other items for children as part of Share a Christmas. Unified Banking Centers decorate Christmas trees with affixed tags that contain Holiday gift requests based on age and gender. Customers and visitors to the Banking Centers may take tags and purchase the requested items and then return the gift items to the Bank. On December 7^th Unified Team Members will deliver the gifts to a T4C location for distribution to families in our community.

“Every year our frontline Team Members look forward to taking tags and buying gifts for the kids in our area,” said Stephanie Miller, Retail Banking Executive with Unified Bank. “Unified also fills many of the tags and this year we were pleased to contribute an additional $500 to support the Share a Christmas program,” Miller added.

According to Louise Worsham, Executive Director of T4C “Share a Christmas depends on the generosity of and giving of individuals, community organizations and businesses like Unified Bank to make Christmas a little more special to those in our community who need a little help.”
