New Business Coming to the Moundsville Area

Bill’s Towing and Recovery is bringing over 38 years of professional towing service to the Moundsville area. With locations in St. Clairsville and Bridgeport, Ohio Bill’s Towing believes it is time to expand into West Virginia. According to Chad Coulson, the company plans to invest over one million dollars in their new Moundsville location and hire 10-12 employees in the next year and a half.

Founded in 1981 Bill’s Towing specializes in light, medium and heavy-duty road service, maintenance and towing. With both roadside assistance and a fully equipped state of the art repair shop, Bill’s is prepared for any automotive or trucking emergency. Their 24-hour emergency spill response team is Haz-Woper 40 certified and ever ready for anything from hazardous spills to fuel extractions and transfers.

“Our family has been in this business for nearly 40 years, serving drivers on both sides of the river,” said Coulson. “With plans for the new cracker plant in Ohio, we see a need for not only our towing and emergency response but also for us to expand our outreach to the gas and oil industry,” Coulson added.

Bill’s Towing’s new facility will be located on the side of Route 2 at 1726 Wheeling Avenue, Glendale, WV. The present building will be coming down soon to make way for construction of Bill’s new 7,000 square foot repair center, garage and offices. According to Coulson, their new location is being financed through Unified Bank. “We have always had a great relationship with Michael Goclan of Unified Bank, and look forward to both Bills Towing and Unified Bank being community partners in the Moundsville area,” said Coulson.

Bill’s Towing has been recognized by the Governor of Ohio and has received the American Towman award for rescue operation and in 2017 won first place in the Shining Star competition in the heavy-duty division.
